The hotel offers a charming experience with its antique decor and clean, spacious rooms. While my stay had its enjoyable moments, such as the comfortable shower and friendly communal areas, I found some aspects disappointing, like the cold reception regarding pet policies and the mismatch of linens. Although it's a decent place overall, it could improve in its service and amenities for pet owners.

The hotel has a charming atmosphere with unique antique decor that adds character. I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort in the common areas, which were great for relaxing. Unfortunately, the treatment received at check-in left much to be desired, and leaving our pet alone in the room was a challenge. Overall, it's a lovely spot but not without its issues.

Our stay had its ups and downs. While we appreciated the unique charm of the hotel and the owner's laid-back vibe, the reception we received when checking in with our dog was off-putting. The room was comfortable, and we enjoyed the common areas, but some amenities were lacking. We’d consider returning, but might explore other options as well.

We had takeout from a restaurant across the street, which was a highlight of our stay. The breakfast options weren't available due to construction, so we went elsewhere for a delicious traditional meal.

My stay had some ups and downs. I loved the historical charm of the hotel and the quaint common areas which made it easy to relax and socialize, but the management's attitude towards guests, especially pet owners, left something to be desired. Additionally, while the room was adequate for the price, it could use some updates. Overall, it can be a cozy spot, but improvements in customer service and room conditions would make a big difference.

Rooms
6.0
The room was basic but served its purpose. It had a tub, which was nice, but the squeaky bed was a bit of a distraction. Overall, I’d rate it at 6 due to the noise.
Service

Service was inconsistent; the woman at the front desk seemed overwhelmed by our pet, but the bar owner was really accommodating and friendly. I appreciated that he made an effort to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Location

The location is about 20 minutes from the Sugarloaf Ski Area, which is great if you're there for winter sports. However, cell service was poor, and the area felt quite isolated.
Dining

Breakfast was not provided at the hotel, but I highly recommend going to the Woodsman just down the road; the food there was fantastic.
Facilities

The common areas are spacious and inviting, perfect for mingling with other guests. However, there was no food or drink available in the hotel during my stay, which was disappointing given the historical vibe.

While the hotel has a unique charm and is clean, the overall experience was marred by the lack of basic amenities. The comfort in the common areas stands out, making it a cozy spot to relax after a day out. However, the absence of essential items like a kettle and comfortable bed setups detracted from the overall value for money. It might be suited for those who prioritize location and character over modern conveniences.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious but lacked essential amenities like a TV, coffee maker, and an adequate number of towels. The mismatched linens didn't provide a welcoming look.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss; while I experienced warmth in common areas, there was notable frustration when trying to reach the front desk.
Location
8.0
Located conveniently near Sugarloaf, making it great for quick access to winter sports and activities.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were limited, but the bar offered local brews that added a nice touch to the experience.
Facilities
